Song Box

Are you running out of song ideas to sing with your children? Use this song box as a fun activity in the car, while making dinner, or sitting together as a family. Make your own cards to include of your families favorite songs.

How to Play: Have your child pick a song card out of the box. Then sing the song. Easy!

How to Make:

1. Print out the label and tape or glue to the side or top of a plastic baby wipes container.
2. Print out the pictures and songs.
3. Cut out.
4. Glue the picture to colored paper which is a little larger than the picture. (Just enough so the colored paper shows.)
5. Glue the song to the back of the corresponding picture.
6. Laminate.

Hands – Clap your hands 1,2,3
Happy Boy – If you’re happy and you know it
Boy Singing – Pick your favorite song
Girl – Pick your favorite song
Star – Twinkle, Twinkle little star
Star – I am like a star shining brightly
Clock – Hickory Dickory Dock
Sun – Jesus wants me for a sunbeam
Sun – You are my sunshine
House – The wiseman built his house upon a rock
Boy – Head, Shoulders, Knees and toes
Farmer – The farmer and the del
Frog – Glack Gunk when the little green frog
Dog – B.I.N.G.O
Cow – Old McDonald had a farm
Spider – Incy Wincy Spider
Bird – In the leafy tree tops

I love this idea. I have something very similar that I use at home with my children, and with my home daycare children. I also use a empty wipes container, but use popscicle sticks and wrote the names of a whole bunch of songs on each, then each child has a turn picking songs!

I really love this and have already printed it out to use with my 2 year old. I would love to know where you got your clipart.
